Our official ‘hello again’There’s plenty happening at MonarchWe’re excited to start sharing a little more of it with you: what we’ve been working on, the people joining us along the way, and useful ideas to make business life a bit easier. Consider this our official hello again, with plenty more Monarch Minutes to come. |

First things firstThank you for bearing with usIt’s fair to say things have been busy at Monarch — in the best possible way. We’ve been supporting our clients, expanding the team and strengthening what happens behind the scenes. We survived the past few months… just. Somehow, we’re over halfway through the financial year, and the past few months have thrown absolutely everything at us: sickness doing the rounds, new team members joining the crew, clients buying, selling and restructuring businesses, new software, changing processes, staff coming and going, and somewhere amongst it all, trying to remember what day of the week it was. The good news? This is exactly the kind of work we love doing. Helping businesses navigate growth, change and all the messy bits in between is why we’re here — even if the coffee machine is still making a very strong case for employee of the month. Thank you for your patience while we’ve been juggling more moving parts than a cat trying to avoid a bath. We promise we’ve still got all the balls in the air — they’ve just been travelling at slightly different speeds. |

Building for what’s nextGrowth needs a strong backboneMonarch has come a long way through hard work, strong relationships and a genuine commitment to helping our clients and their businesses succeed. And we’re not done yet. As Monarch continues to evolve, we’re adding more experience, knowledge and capability to the team. That gives us more capacity to support our clients, develop our people and explore new ways to make business life easier.

The October business pulse checkHas your business grown faster than your systems? If the past few months have taught us anything, it’s that Kiwi businesses aren’t standing still. We’ve helped clients buy and sell businesses, welcome new team members, implement new software, streamline processes and rethink the way they work. It’s been exciting — and just a little bit chaotic. One thing we’ve noticed? Businesses often outgrow their systems long before they realise it.

Smarter systems, human judgementAI, automation and the useful stuffAI is everywhere at the moment. Half the time it feels like there’s a new tool before we’ve worked out what the last one does. We’re not interested in replacing people with robots (the team was very pleased to hear that). What interests us is the useful stuff: taking repetitive admin off someone’s plate, cutting down double-handling, improving workflows and helping people find information faster. Our rule is pretty simple: if it saves time without sacrificing quality, accuracy or the human judgement behind the work, it’s worth a look. If it creates three new problems and another login to remember, probably not. Good systems should make business easier to run. They should help your team spend less time chasing, re-entering and fixing — and more time actually getting things done.

October and what’s nextA stronger team and plenty of good work aheadOctober is already shaping up to be another full month — but with a stronger team, clearer systems and plenty of good work underway, we’re heading into it excited and well equipped. As always, thank you for trusting Monarch with your business. We genuinely love being part of your journey — from the everyday essentials to the big changes and the slightly chaotic bits in between. Here’s to a productive October: fewer fire drills, better systems and, ideally, a hot coffee while it’s still hot. Warmly, |
